Makhzoumi Foundation at the Business Women Forum
Makhzoumi Foundation, represented by the "Awareness" & "Agriculture/Environment" Programs Manager Eng. Sallama Namani, took part at the second Business Women Forum that was organized by the Lebanese Businesswomen Collective, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Beirut, between July 9 and July 11, 2010, in the presence of the Ambassador of the European Union Mission in Lebanon Patrick Laurent and the Minister of Tourism Fadi Abboud. The opening words were for Ambassador Laurent and Minister Abboud, as were words for the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Beirut, the Vice-Chairman of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry Collective, Mr. Mohammed Choucair, the Lebanese Business Women Collective’s President Ms. Leila Karami, and Head of Business Women Mission in ASCAME Ms. Najwa Atia, Head of Federations and the Mediterranean Business Women Collective’s President Ms. Helena de Felipe.
Representatives of the Business Women Collectives from Turkey, Morocco, Greece, Croatia, Algeria and Tunisia participated at this Forum where each of them presented her experience in business management. The first day of the Forum included dialogue sessions where by one of them was chaired by Eng. Sallama Namani from Makhzoumi Foundation, who gave a power point presentation on the Foundation’s different activities, focusing on the activities addressed to the working woman to encourage her establish her own work and to prepare her for this responsibility, through the Micro Credit Program, and the Training Courses like the Beauty Courses (Make-up, Hairdressing, Nail care ...), Handicrafts, Beekeeping, Producing liquid and solid soap...
The Forum concluded by a tour in the Down Town of Beirut.
