The first part was addressed to the municipalities, NGOs and citizens from the different regions of Lebanon whereas the second part has focused on values to be transferred today to our children, and discuss and evaluate and correct its course. In this context, the third workshop was held on July 25, 2008 at Mridien Commodore Hotel in Beirut. Each of Dr. Antoine Massara and Professor Ghada Kastinean gave a critical presentation of the lived reality within the family, and the relationships among its members, and the values carried to the new generations, with the numerous challenges imposed by rapid technological development and modern life. The attendance at the workshop included parents and a number of educators who participated in the debate and transferred some of their experiences. The specialists' presentation focused on the negative aspects of the topic and its implications, not for our lack of positive things in our upbringing that they are numerous, according to Dr. Antoine Messarra, but to identify gaps and address them, especially since the Social Studies in the Arab region did not focus on behavior, but were merely words which are not interpreted into actions.
